Homestar is the NZ Green Building Council holistic tool that awards points across various credits to rate a home's performance and environmental impact. There are mandatory minimum requirements to encourage and recognise ventilation measures that control indoor moisture levels, improve indoor environment for occupants, reduce respiratory illnesses and the risk of mould, and increase the durability of the dwelling.
